13 years! Originally started in 1994 as a reference guide by a Herpes
Support Facilitator on the America Online Health Channel, HerpeSite has
continued as a friendly, accessible, non-commercial website ever since.
To avoid any possibility or perception of conflict of interest, we have never accepted
advertising or corporate sponsorship. We have only recently added ad features to the site
in order to offset operating costs and provide visitors with additional resources.

make a private donation via PayPal. All research and website hosting and maintenance is
done by volunteers.
